Default Copley[WR] What a relief!

Hi, All,

Went outside this morning and although I knew there was little wind I
found myself holding onto belongings, doors, gates etc through force of
habit.
The wind has been so strong for so long that things seemed strange!
Anyway I took my chance and spent the day doing anemometer maintenance.
What a gorgeous day! A bit fresh at first with -0.6C, Lead Mill -2.1C
but 6.2hr sun and max gust just 6KT. Max 5.7C (but just 1.0C at the
Lead Mill)
It looks as if it was a one-off though.

Aye, the F6/F7 for the last few days was getting a bit wearing from the
noise but not as bad as 12hrs F9, now that does start to drive you
potty...

Glorious crisp clear day up here as well. Frost on the shaded side of
small tussocks didn't thaw all day.

I took the chance to realign the satellite dish and hack off some blown
rendering and whack in a bit of mortar round a stone window cill. I hope
a) tonights frost or b) the rain due doesn't mess it all up (again).

It looks as if it was a one-off though.

Yep, wind now back to F5 and rising. *Might* not get a frost since the
air started to move again its temp has stabilised just above 0C, but it
didn't half plummet when the sun started set from 1500 on. 5C down to a
shade above 0C in an hour, then the wind started to pick up.
