I would be very grateful for any pointers towards times / dates these
broadcasts, to save me (and others) listening to R5 for hours on end. I am sure
I would find it more informative than the half-past-midnight summary on R4.

thanks in advance!

I don't know about the evening ones, but the morning ones are nominally
at 6:28, 7:28 and 8:28 every day. (Though they often run up to 5 minutes
late). Those at 7:28 and 8:28 on Sunday usually include a look at the
prospects for the next 5 days.

Depending on pressure of other items, it normally goes out at 1.45 or 1.50
....
Tuesday morning, not Monday (although I suppose you could call it
Monday night). I got a trifle carried away with the Bank Holiday
outlook and over-egged the temperature forecast ... 30 is unlikely ...
but 25-27 probable. A touch of humble pie is needed, I think.

You can tell I'm hungry.

It will help to keep the mean maximum temperature for the month up; this
is currently 28.5°C with a mean temperature of 20.9°C. Today is the
coolest at 23.2°C since the 1st of the month; last night was distinctly
cool with a minimum of 7.1°C.

Nothing that low here - it was heading that way but a layer of cloud
swept in.
