I saw about three or four flakes at Cranleigh this morning, around 8am.

I had about 3 dozen snow flakes on my car roof when I went out this morning.
They were actually quite big, but so few of them.

blue cms depth or amount of rain (converting to snow!) mm ?

Yes, snow in Coulsdon, Surrey on the North Downs and it lay for while in
patches above 120 metres with a light covering on Reigate Hill -230 metres.
Moderate snow fell around 0745 hrs. on Tuesday morning- part snow cover at
my station at 130 metres. Snow remained in patches to mid morning.

3 hour rainfall accumulations in mm, so on that fame 2-3mm is roughly
equivalent to 2-3cm of snow.

Moderate snow (shower) at Coventry at 0020Z.
