Well done encouraging people to rip-off the band.

That's a bit unfair, all publicity is good publicity, and many bands
encourage it.

I've bought both their albums, and two concert tickets, so I've
already contributed to their success.

I own the copyright to these videos, because the footage is my own
work.

Tim,

I also forgot to say, the inferior footage & sound quality of my
videos does not compare to the original work of the band. These
videos are only advertising the band, and any fan would buy the
original material.

But you are encouraging others not to purchase their recordings and/or
attend their concerts.

You may, I am only saying "may", have infringed the admission terms to
the venue at which they performed.

I declare an interest in as much as I maintain the editing suite for a
small independent film maker.

But the band owns the copyright in the lyrics and the music.

"Before you can legally sell, publish or distribute someone else’s copyright
work, you must obtain the permission of the copyright owner. This rule applies
even if you are only using extracts or samples from the work."

Well that's a different matter, but I am still not sure that this is the
best way to support the band. I am happy to be proved wrong.

YouTube don't seem to have a problem with live footage of bands on
their website, there are thousands of videos on their site.

It's the other way around, I'm encouraging people to attend their
concerts and buy their orginal material which is of much better
quality than a video I recorded on a hand held camera.

Some get taken down, some don't. For example some sites were told to
remove the Top Gear episode shown last week.
