Looking at the one severe weather warning currently in force, for
Dorset, that does seem much better, in particular that only the area
affected is now coloured red rather than the whole region.

Interesting! And the first warning since the announcement is good old
Dorset: so I am glued to the radar watching things with interest! We
had 13 mm today so I wonder if I will get between 15 and 30mm as
suggested.

The development evident on the IR loop.

Radar showing an area of heavy rain moving north out of NW France and
there's been a few embedded thunderstorms within the main cluster.
