February was yet another warm month, being 2.5degC above the local mean.
Most days except during the period of 4th-9th were mild. February was
also wet, with 61.2mm or 136% of normal. There was a moderate snowfall
on the morning of the 8th with around 4cm on all surfaces.

For the winter months, a total of 17 air frosts (the harshest being
-6.1C on 6th February) and 4 days with snowfall were recorded. All three
months were markedly warmer than usual. Rainfall over the three months
was fractionally below normal at 179.1mm (92%).
