Default Today's model interpretation (3/03/07)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Wednesday. Issued
0602z, 3 March 2007.

In summary, the models show an unsettled end to the week with low pressure
close to the NW. All areas will see plenty of rain and the winds are likely
to be strong as well.|

ECMWF: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...mwf/ecmwf.html
An area of low pressure lies to the NW, with a secondary low over the
southern North Sea. Westerlies and WSW'lies are the result, followed by
westerlies and WSW'lies on day 6. By day 7 a low deepens to the NW,
bringing strong SW'lies over the UK.

MetO: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da...ukmo/pslv.html
MetO shows a low over the North Sea and a secondary low to the west.
Westerlies and WNW'lies cover the UK, followed by stronger westerlies on day
6 as the secondary low deepens and moves swiftly eastwards.

GFS: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/pslv_frame.htm
Low pressure covers the North Sea, leading to NW'lies and WNW'lies over the
UK. The winds become SW'lies on day 6 as a low deepens to the NW, followed
by W'lies on day 7.

GEM: http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/da.../gem/pslv.html
The UK lies under a trough from a low to the NW. Winds are a mixture of
WSW'lies and SW'lies as a result.
