Just get up at the appropriate time for the task you intend to undertake. Also France and Spain should be on GMT as the bulk of these countries is nearer the meridian. Utter rubbish. Thank you for putting consideration and thought into your wordy and witty reply. GMT is stupid... at any time of year. If it's dark in the morning, you have the imminent daylight to look forward to. If it goes dark in mid afternoon, you have only darkness and doom to look forward to. Funny but it's always dark in the morning. There has to be dark for there to be a morning. Part of the attraction of living in northern Europe is the changing of the seasons. I am sorry if you have trouble with shorter days and equate it with "doom". Human nature dictates that double summer time should apply throughout the year. Check the time of this post and you might guess why _I_ want it! Actually human nature if left to its own devices would have us changing our habits in accordance with the seasons. The following BBC reference makes a small comment on how humans dealt with things prior to artificial light. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6457991.stm -- Tim http://www.pitfieldbeershop.co.uk/ |

Hey no that's unfair. I may be mad as a fish, but don't do me down with a "DC". Why? Irrational sense of neatness. I want the sun up there when the big and little hands are on the twelve, if you see what I mean. More selfishly I don't want to try to sleep when it isn't dark and others are out and about making noise. You know how it can be in the summer with the windows open and someone passing by in the mobile disco, or perhaps you are lucky to escape that kind of thing. -- Tim http://www.pitfieldbeershop.co.uk/ |
