Default 360 degree wind

Went out for 55 miles on my road bike today. The wind was behind we for
roughly 5 of those miles. Amazing how this happens.

And thank you very much Met Office radar for failing to notice a big hail
shower.

Rant over.

Cyclists often experience this largely un-documented phenomenon: the
againsterly wind.

Speaking as a cyclist, I can assure you there are only two common types of
wind - the headwind and the crosswind. There is the rare phenomonon the
tailwind, but cyclists speak of this in hushed tones in case they are
laughed at by other cyclists, convinced this "tailwind" is as likely to be
as real as the yeti.

My son was due to do a 25-mile time trial today, but didn't start as, out on
the fens, the crosswind was potentially lethal - on his warm up he was
almost blown into the path of a car. He was sensible and decided he didn't
particularly enjoy dicing with death.

Cheers :-)
