Yes, I caught the edge of the same thundery Cb sheet here in Tipton a few
miles to the east. Moderate T/L but notable for a 30 second shower of big teardrop-shaped snow granules to 2cm diam. These are the biggest I've ever seen personally. Photo attached. With the strong winds through the night into Sunday bringing in this cold polar air in (14C Sat afternoon, down to 1C at 6pm on Sunday) now this convective weather, it's been an interesting few days. It's a pity that the Cbs have been rather diffuse and not very photogenic. Terry |
