Light snow began 0630Z, now steady - still light; settling on grass
but melting onto road/paved surfaces. Vis ~3km. ..... (0710Z); still technically light snow (by notional accumulation), but visibility down below 3km, and steady settling on all surfaces *except* roadways. OAT +0.2°C DP -1.8°C (it's the latter doing the damage!) Cars are picking up a roof-covering, which in my experience means the local roads are going to be tricky now. BRACKNELL (TAWFIELD) 0755 SSW F1 2500 -SN BR 8/ST T006D-012 RMK: Steady snow - very short period moderate - but looking at the PPN now it's on the point of turning to sleet I think. Covering most surfaces EXCEPT roads - patchy cover on pavements. No more than 1 cm grass, but generally less than 0.5cm. = -- Bracknell (Wooden Hill/Tawfield), Berkshire, UK NGR: SU 854 667 Elev: 80m Lat: 51° 23' 30'' N: Long: 00° 46' 28'' W |

PPN now very light, main visibility reduction due to the increased RH as snow-cover thaws, aiding the increase in dew-point.
