Looks like we will be having our coldest March in Coventry since 1989
even with the mean monthly temperature standing at 0.9C above the 30-
year 1971-2000 average.

I must say I am surprised at that since here there have been 6 colder
Marches since 1989.
The current mean for the month is 6.7C, but last year it was only
4.9C, and 4.6C in 1996.

O dear!

You are so right!

In checking, my usually trusty student researcher looked up the recent
April values, not March so scrub that original post - I should have
checked it out myself!

It has actaully been the coldest March since last year:-)

Steve
