Absolutely cloudless since dawn (well certainly since 07:00 - I was
asleep before that). A max of 18.6C, which down here is actually
higher than the max last Saturday & Sunday. Top 5 Hottest April days

Well out of step with England - which is normally the case, especially
in Spring.

Virtually no sea breeze, as is apparent from the glassy sea (see
www.easterling.freeserve.co.uk/S1.html for the wild Atlantic) and the
sun felt very strong. Visibility very good around noon when Scilly was
just visible from the mainland.
