Would that be for individual localities John or nationwide at the same time, if you see what I mean? Pretty much nationwide, I think. "Blocking" seems to be most frequent at this time of year, and if the block is in the right place that can mean a prolonged dry spell. But such blocks *normally* involve cooler-than-normal weather, It all depends where the block is. whereas this time we could be heading for record average maxima figures! I'm currently averaging 18.2C, 4.8C above average. That's even 1C above the *May* average! That's pretty impressive. -- John Hall "I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) |

Although the latest rainfall radar from the Met-Office shows rain over
South Devon, only a coulple of spots of rain are hitting the ground. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...est_radar.html It will be interesting to see how much rain is recorded in the South of England over the next few days, as I' sure there will be some locations that will go the whole of April without any recordable rainfall. |

The rainfall radar showed rain passing overhead from 07:30 to 09:30 in west Cornwall. Not enough to dampen the ground here, in fact I doubt if most people noticed anything. Sunny intervals since10:00. Graham Penzance |

Few spots of rain (largish drops) going up Easdon Tor (circa 480m asl) this
morning. Enough for some people to don waterproofs, but I didn't bother as I knew it would pass over. 0.1mm at most I'd say. Nothing measurable here at home in Haytor. Still just 1.1mm so far this month in Haytor. Will. -- "Bonos Ego" wrote in message ups.com...
