The CET for the remaining 9 days only needs to be 11.75 to beat the
1865 record of 10.6c, which is more than possible. For the CET to be 10.7 the total temp for April needs to be 321c (30*10.7c) The total temp for April is so far 215.25c (21days x 10.25c) So the remaining 9 days need to average 11.75c (321c less 215.25c = 105.75c divided by 9days = 11.75c) There endith the Math leason. http://www.climate-uk.com/graphs/0704.htm Check the Max / Min on the charts below, and the Min does not fall much below 9 / 10c, and maximums are in the region of 17-23c, so more than possible for the average temperature to be above 11.75c Min http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/tmin_frame.htm Max http://expert.weatheronline.co.uk/tmax_frame.htm |
