Default Apr'07 - anywhere completely rainless?

And if so, how rare is that in Britain?

Paul, no rain fell in parts of southern England during April 1912, 1893 and
1957. I think that one or two places in Cornwall had no rain during April
1976. There was very little rain in 1938 and 1980 was almost dry in north
west England.
This year April was my second driest month of any back to 1979 with only
2.8mm of rain -May 1989 had 2.1mm

This is purely anecdotal, as I don't record weather conditions, but I don't
believe we've had any in Thanet.

I think we had 'trace' need to check with the neighbour who keeps records.

Similar to here (2.9 mm) except that I only got 1.9 mm in
Aug 1995, which remains my driest month.

There are hints on the LRF that we may get some wet stuff next week,
though.

I saw some at the T+120/144 stage that looked wet for the beginning of this
week but they only lasted a couple of days. Latest runs also seem to be
beginning to "dry out" for next.
