Brussels on Monday 7th May

Overcast all day. Damp at first after some overnight rain but then
dry for the rest of the morning. Light rain set in around midday and
continued until late afternoon. Further sporadic light rain in the
evening. Fresh WSW wind.

First measurable rain at Brussels Uccle since 30th March. Dry spell
lasting 37 days is the longest at Uccle since records began there in
1833. Previous longest drought was 34 days from 5th June to 8th July
1887.
