Default Campbell Sci CR10X and Rotronic MP100H probe

Hi NG,

Hope there are some hardware-oriented people out there that can help
me.

I am having trouble connecting a Rotronic MP100H temperature and
humidity sensor to a Campbell Sci CR10X datalogger. What I want is to
use ONLY the PT100 temperature probe in the MP100H in a 3-Wire Half
Bridge setup. But I cannot seem to figure out which wires from the
probe goes where in the logger wiring panel. The diagrams from
Rotronic are useless (e.g, there is no pink wire, as mentioned in the
manual) so I was hoping somebody could tell me which colours from the
probe should go to the E1, H2, L2 and AG ports on the logger.

Also, I'm not sure I the probe contains an 10 kOhm R_f? Going from the
diagram in the Campbell manual the PRT should have such a resistor,
but there is no sign of it in Rotronics 1-page manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Best,

JS

Can't help you Joe, although I do have a 10X logger. I can only suggest you
try Campbell, they are usually quite helpful. Also, have you contacted
Rotronic direct? Have you checked the Rotronic web site for wiring diagrams?

Hi,

Unfortunately the Rotronics sensor you mention is not one we (Campbell
Scientific Ltd) supply and, having spoken to our applications
engineers, we are not able to offer advice on this issue as we are not
familar with the technicalities of this sensor.

I therefore suggest that you speak to Rotronic to resolve.

Sorry I couldn't help more,

Kind regards,

Iain Thornton
