The weather charts look wonderful for next week but I'm trying to
realistic about the outcome. It appears that maximum temperatures for Monday are still at 5 to 6°c which is not far from the normal (pre global warming) February. Yes, it may well snow, but unless it's timing after an overnight frost is right, it won't settle, certainly in low lying places. I will be once again keeping a close eye on Scandinacian temperatures, at the moment they are not far from freezing. Blizzards like in 1991 and 1987 saw temperatures across the North Sea of -12°c and more. Also we're in the second half of February, the days are getting longer and the sun is geating quite strong during the day, so if it comes out, it will get to work, especially if there is no snow cover to reflect it. Still, I have my fingers crossed, just thought we all should get things into perspective before the post mortom begins.
