odd rumble of thunder here and there. Visibility reduced to about 200m at times. Shows up clearly on the Met. Off. radar. [1] No instrumemtation here. |

Got soaked. 45 mms rain in 1 hr 15 mins and it's still tipping down. Jack (S.Cambridgeshire) |

Another pulse coming up slowly from the south which I hope doesn't miss here. Dave, S.Essex. |

Dave, S.Essex. It probably wont miss YOU in Essex but here in west London there is nothing and unlikely to be any either, in fact by 10pm theres even "clear" shown on the forecast radar for the west - Heathrow included. This is all so usual its like it just seems to fragment into nothing. DR |

Already appears to breaking up and going passed to the East before moving back inland despite being in the middle of the severe weather warning area for the second time this week. Still, that's life when you live in a desert ;-) Dave |

The radar is full of crap they keep changing it every hour. As for the BBC dont ya just love their graphics and that big rainly world they use on the introduction. As if it convinces anyone. DR |

DR ----------------------------- I don't want to be berated for criticising forecasts because I know some parts of Essex did have heavier rain e.g, Harlow, Chelmsford, where I was this evening. However, it looks like the region to have heaviest rain has been the Midlands and around Cambridge, as was also forecast. My total was a paltry 2mm. I am definitely going to get caught out when a severe weather warning is accurate for my precise locality! Dave |
