Lovely and sunny now, even the cumulus inland are much smaller/

Quite sunny here too, turning into a lovely afternoon and with the
temperature now 20.0C, it is feeling quite warm and humid.

Not here, light showers all afternoon and another one just finished at 1700.
Just about cut the grass in the rain breaks.
Temp. 15.0C but feels quite warm.

1720

Moderate rain shower. Temp 14.7C.
Squinting at what bit of the radar is available seems like the heavier showers
are just over my house and nowhere else in Devon :-)
I'll be glad when today is over, it has not been a good one and the weather
hasn't helped :-(

Will

1730

Heavy burst of rain. Temp now 13.9C

Missed all the storms here in N Devon. Not very good, since i'm a fan
of storms
Had a couple heavy showers, and plenty of lighter ones.

Meanwhile, up the country, people have had multiple storms in one or
two days.
Not fair at all

Now i have a decent gaming PC, i've been playing with Flight Sim X,
and Active Sky X add-on
(it can import TAF's and METAR data files, with the weather in Flight
Sim X changed accordingly)

Attempted to fly around a few locations yesterday. Thunder at
Heathrow, as i took off, i went north.. then east into the North Sea,
then i turned south, until the north coast of France came into view.

More distant lightning out over the North Sea, during sunset, looked
very nice. Then i flew into yet another storm on the north coast of
France. Accuracy is not quite there yet i feel... sure there was some
thunder yesterday, but not this much. Still it's very ambitious when
you consider the whole planet Earth is simulated

at least one fatality.

What a shame you missed all the fun.

BTW have you applied SP1 to FSX?

I'm not sure about rubbish, but there seem to have been a
disappointing lack of sunny days given it's generally been warm. Since
the 7th, only the 10th has been predominantly sunny.

That's all part and parcel of having severe weather.
People know the risks involved. If you decide to move into a property
which is near a river, you accept the fact that it may flood during
heavy rainfalls, and you are supposed to take out the appropriate
insurance.

I heard one report of some stupid person actually fishing in the
middle of a thunderstorm in London on Saturday.

I do know that severe weather does damage, and that lives are taken
sometimes, which is always sad
But I still hold a fascination for it, which i've done since i was six
years old

As a person who has experienced the core of a huricane in 2003 (people
lost their lives that day, but i still wanted to go), the weather we
get in this country is pretty tame, believe me.

I get back into this country, and i overhear a woman at the airport,
moaning about the weather. It was a slightly cool breezy day with a
few showers. I should have said something to her, but i'm far too
polite

The weather will always do whatever it wants, we can't make it go away

Yep, SP1 is applied to FSX here

Not always. It wasn't exactly tame when the Penlee Lifeboat sank in
1981.

The weather on the Atlantic fringes of Britain can be anything but
tame, believe me.
