I can see how the forecaster might easily fall into this figure of speech and I wouldn't normally quibble, but it did cross my mind how you get anything other than "warm" sunshine, in the same week as the summer solstice ....... unless it's "hot" sunshine of course. - Tom. |

If we don't get warm sunshine at this time of year then perhaps we all should be moving south. There is never any reference to the wider pattern. The viewer is not aware of the airmass type affecting the UK or those likely to affect it in the future. Taking all the charts and profile maps and replacing them with the "let me tell you a story" human touch does not work and is patronising, boring and ineffective. |
