![]() "Nigel Paice" wrote in message ... Several rumbles between SE and S in past few minutes. First thunder at 1615Z. Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire) That was a vicious little beast. Inside 1 minute at 1645Z, there were 3 ground strikes, all within 1 second of counting between lightning and thunder, the last of which had no obvious gap. The storm total was 9.9mm, most of it (5.7mm) cascading between 1643Z and 1648Z (violent pptn). Power was temporarily lost at the Romsey Rapids, where my youngest daughter was swimming and the pool temperature apparently dropped dramatically from 29.7C to 0.4C according to the electronic display. Yikes! No refreshments available due to seized up till! My detective powers tell me that the electronics might have been affected! Full 18Z ob coming up. Nigel (Romsey, Hampshire) |
