Approaching storm here nr Ledbury Herefordshire gave such a dramatic sky

That's very similar to what was seen here in Bewdley when I got home at about 19.30 BST. I was looking forward to relaxing in the garden, but even though the rain hadn't (quite) started at that time, it was so dark that it might as well have been night. Coupled with the lightning already flashing away over the Wyre Forest to the west, it really was quite eye-catching. -- Bewdley, Worcs. ~90m asl. |

Superb pictures as always, especially the structure shown in the third one.
I was in Upton when this system hit. That was some heavy rain! The river Severn switched moods right in front of our eyes. One moment it was almost glass like calm, and the next it was extremely turbulent with gigantic tree branches etc being carried down from up stream. Looked to be the potential for some funnel clouds too. One day I'll see one! Simon |
