Default No, surely not again!!!

So far rain has mainly gone to my East for the third time in a severe
weather warning. Only 2mm so far of light to moderate rain. I'm not sure if
the rest is going to edge West as forecast or if I'm going to miss out yet
again. I imagine Keith is getting a fair bit down the road from me, looking
at the radar. Generally appears further East than forecast, as before. Sack
the computer, I say!

Dave, the rain didn't really amount to much 3.8mm, I imagine
Shoeburyness had more as the storm seemed to be to me east.

Aye, for all the "delighted, we've had the storm of the century" type
posts, i think an equal number of people are disappointed.

It's easy to "fall between storms" on days like yesterday

It was a false hope that Northern England would be getting it tonight,
as i look at the sferic chart now, just a few strikes left in the
southern North sea

That's my point, the same areas keep getting the storms... the same
area's seem to keep missing out. This country is definatly NOT a level
playing field when it comes to storm distribution

Looking at it all last night, Keith, I had you down as right under the main
storm. We did get heavy rain and overhead lightning, at times, but the main
event, which appeared to last a couple of hours, moved past to the east of
us. For much of that time I had a good view of the distant lightning, just
above the horizon

Found out from this morning's news that a house close to the village was hit
by lightning and the roof set on fire. I'd heard the fire engines around
22.00 hrs, as they went by. The householders, apparently, are away on
holiday!
