From Ascii File to Image !!! How ?
Im involved in a project where I have to transform grid ascii files
done like this : DSAA 92 92 -6.679 23.805 30.142 56.000 0.00000000E+00 47.6781693 0.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.0000 0E+000.00000E +000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+00 0.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.0000 0E+000.00000E +000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+000.00000E+00 0.0 .....usw and I have to transform them in images adding europe border ... I really have no idea from where to start ! Which software to use ? Is there any freeware doing this ? Thanks Gio |

Thanks Gio Prob best thing to do is get it into netCDF then the options are many depending on yr platform enviroment- Hints here- http://geon.unavco.org/unavco/IDV_fo...onverters.html then you can visualise the netCDF with IDV, - http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/idv/ will generate maps. Other netCDF tools- http://hemulen.uchicago.edu/~tobis/i...tools.html#Gri I think Ferret may do this as well- http://ferret.wrc.noaa.gov/Ferret/ post to the netCDF forums for help- http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/ regards, David |
