On a similar note to another thread (no 30C in a year) anyone know
when this last happened?
The long spell of unusual weather which started in March has given
some very strange effects this year - 26C reached in mid April, but
nothing significantly hotter since.

We recorded 25.4° on 2nd May and 27.5 on the 9th June. Does that count?

The last 2 years here when the temperature failed to reach 80deg F ( 26.6c)
before the end of June were in 1999 and 1991. In 1999 the first 80+ day was
on 2 July and in that year there were 10 more during the month. In 1991 the
first 80+ day was 7 July and the month provided 3 more.
