Default Ulley Reservoir

The news reports on the reservoir have been rather sensationalist,
saying that there was cracks in the dam wall, when there was damp
patches where the water is seeping out.

I've just done some rudimentary calculations, as the reservoir is 46
feet deep, by a surface area of 36 acres that would make about 500
million gallons of water in the reservoir.

According to a report at: http://tinyurl.com/yu6zwj old colliery
workings go underneath the reservoir so with a bit of luck it may be a
case of water down a BIG plug hole.
