Have a look at the Davis range. They do a number of repeater options.

Alternatively, you could look at serial modems. I have a set of "RS232"
modems that work across 3km in open air - Not cheap mind - About GBP1200
for the pair.

The Davis VP2 range can do this provided you use a long-range repeater
unit and can achieve something approaching line-of-sight on the
straight-line signal paths. (Most wireless telemetry units these days
use very high frequency transmissions - strictly speaking UHF or ultra
high frequency (and higher) - and these links aren't really compatible
with intervening hills and the like. But splitting the link into two
or more legs can often help to work around such problems.)
