It's remarkable that the Shawbury and Watnall maxima should be so low.
They must be within a hundred miles or so of Bedford I would think.

Not often that this place is a hot spot but my maximum was
25.8°C at about 1330Z. It would be interesting to see the max for
Kenley and Biggin Hill though the latter produces unreliable METAR's
with the temperature often low by as much as 2°C.

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey, 556 ft.
