Default Birmingham - Very Loud TStorm

The loudest t-storm I can recall currently (and for last 20 mins) in
Edgbaston, it seemed to come out of nowhere, the first thunder clap was so
loud it sounded more like an explosion, and set off alarms in the area, and
rattled my building (I live on the 8th floor of flats). The storm was so
severe to begin with I was wary of going to the window, it's been a long
time sice I've been awed by a t storm! Worst of it has rapidly moved
overhead and away, and can see massive cc and cg lightening to west and
north west, at about 40 second intervals. Rain was quite intense at one
point, with gusty winds, but did not last long.
