If you had lost all other senses, or lived abroad, you might believe it.

These reports from Farnborough rarely have any semblance to the truth, so
why on earth give them?

I think they've lost the plot!! 34mm in funnel rain gauge so far in Fleet.

I live 3 or 4 miles from the non-existent "South Farnborough", and it has
been raining since 3am!

Over 30mm already.
