Although not quite in the severe weather warning region there was 11mm of
rain here during the late afternoon and evening. Judging from the radar parts of Kent must have had more. Fortunately it has fallen in an area which is still relatively dry and not in the West Midlands. Dave, S.Essex. |

I recorded 27mm here in Leysdown (north Kent coast) between 4:30PM and midnight, which tallies well with the MetO's warning of 20-30mm rain falling. Not that you'd guess it - this morning the skies are blue, the roads and pavements are completely dry and it looks like a typical summer's morning. |
