Tanagra/NOA: 44.3C
Tympaki: 44.0C
Thessaloniki/AP: 44.0C (brand new year record)
Tatoi/AP: 43.6C
Volos/AP: 43.6C
Kilkis/NOA: 43.6C
Agrinio: 43.2C
Arta/NOA: 43.1C
Tanagra/AP: 43.0C
Pyrgos: 43.0C
Samos/AP: 43.0C
Amfikleia/NOA: 42.9C
Corfu/AP: 42.8C
Araxos/AP: 42.4C

Yet again, places far from the sea saw diurnal temperature ranges of
over 25 Centigrades, like in western Macedonia, while places close to

Note to myself - never go to Greece in summer.

Going to get very hot in Haytor - 23C maybe this week I expect :-)

Perhaps to a degree but for the real McCoy, try going the other way,
on horseback, with no sat nav, motels or MacDonald's.

To be fair on the participants, no satnav is permitted in the rally rules
and horses are probably more likely to survive the joureny than £300 old
bangers, but it is still a pretty mean undertaking in the temperatures that
part of the world is currently experiencing.
