Default BBC News | Science/Nature | Ten-year climate model unveiled

Scientists say they have developed a model to predict how ocean
currents, as well as human activities, will affect temperatures over
the next decade.

By including short-term natural events, such as El Nino, a UK team
says it is able to offer 10-year projections.

Models have previously focused on how the globe will warm over a
century.

Writing in Science, Met Office researchers project that at least half
of the years between 2009 and 2014 are likely to exceed existing
records.

However, the Hadley Centre researchers said that the influence of
natural climatic variations were likely to dampen the effects of
emissions from human activities between now and 2009.

Can't say I read any of the stuff about the BBC but since it's now
about to go mainstream outside the UK, I have the following advice for
any foreigners lurking these hallowed halls:

Until recently one had only to lean back in one's chair repeating a
mantra such as:
Liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar
liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar liar ...
whilst a politician was "on" (if one doesn't have a kettle to put on
instead.)

With the revelation that the BBC is no more to be trusted than any
other badly policed medium, it behooves the luser to have a CD with
the words running in the background whenever there is a matter of
sensible interpretation over what the feck they are saying.

Of course since there are likely to be plenty of ads., one could
always run them instead and switch off the so called "content".
