Default Oh the irony

Someone gave me an old transistor radio Sunday. Havcing short wave to
hand once more, I thought I'd look up the shipping bulletin and look
what I found:

"The Met Office receives many enquiries about the shipping forecasts
that are broadcast on BBC Radio 4. This is a brief guide to the main
terms used in the forecast, and also as a reference to the main
shipping areas (known as the coastal waters) surrounding the British
Isles.."

It hasn't helped them to see reason. I wonder why.

If this spell continues a few more days, I will try and post what I
found early in my lurnin and see if it holds true for SoT.

Damn!

Just remembered I won't be in Stoke for the next fortnight or so.

Well, if I can write fast enough I'll try and post the readings.

A couple of days ago the Today programme on FM announced that "at 7.30
the shipping forecast will be rebroadcast on LW because the wrong
forecast was read out earlier"
