Default Ingrid

Standing in the wings oiling her tonsils, the fat lady is about to
enter stage right:

The National Hurricane Center said Tropical Storm Ingrid was about 840
miles east of the Lesser Antilles, a chain of popular tourist islands,
with winds up to 40 miles per hour.

Ingrid is moving northwest at about six miles per hour. The latest
advisory shows a small increase in strength is possible during the
next 24 hours.

Several hours earlier, the third hurricane of the Atlantic season,
Humberto, formed over the Gulf of Mexico before striking the southeast
Texas coast with category one force, the lowest strength in the five-
level Saffir-Simpson scale. At least one person died.

A long spate of intractable weather spells comes to a North Atlantic
near you. But will there be an encore?

11th September 12:44 is what should be a wet spell but seems
endemically misty. Hence Humberto and Ingrid.

19th September 16:48 brings an almost perfect fine weather spell.
Fortunately no synergy on the last spell.
26th September 19:45 And ? Pass!
3rd October 10:06 And ? Oh dear. This one, whatever it is besides
interesting, is going to be a learning curve.
11th October 05:01 another perfect fine weather spell. Depending on
what the two preceding phases bring, this could be the next big thing.

Fortunately for Weatherlawyer there are a lot of these in next year's
forecast so we should be happy for small mercies. Prepare to put your
hands in your pockets for the less fortunate, ladies and gents, please.
