Remarkably blocked and "flabby" charts predicted right out to October
10th in GFS - seems much more like typical spring conditions than autumn. Perhaps since we got October weather in May, we're getting May weather in October? Not sure if it's just my imagination, but more generally, the onset of the first stormy spell of autumn *seems* to be getting later in the last 10 years or so. It always seems to arrive mid or even late October these days, with stormy spells rare at this time of year. Nick |
