September was a rather non-descript month. Temperatures were mostly
above average, but there were no very warm or hot days with the maximum being only 23.3C. The maximum of 13.0C on the 26th was the lowest maximum of any of the last four Septembers. The month started out very dry, with only 0.5mm of rain between the 24th August and 20th September. The only days with any notable precipitation were the 23rd (6.6mm) and 28th (11.2mm). The 26th was characterised by strong northerly wind.
