Default Nothing on radar - steady rain

Well it's been raining all morning here. Fairly light but much more than
drizzle. Surprised that rain of this intensity isn't being picked up on the
radar and probably skewing the forecast a bit, which is claiming to be dry
and 17C - only 13.8C so far.
"At least it will be mild" aaaaagh!

Only very light drizzle here, now stopped, but it was very
gloony around 1130Z making me think some heavy rain was on the way.
As for "mild", it's an inappropriate term for early autumn,
especially for daytime temperatures. "Mild" means "not bitter, not
cold" when cold is the norm, ie winter. I have even heard "mild" to
describe night temperatures in summer. Summer nights are never
mild. They are oppressive, warm, cool or cold. The presenters
haven't quite mastered the language in some cases.

Dark, dank, dismal, dripping, dreary, damp, . . . definitely not dry!

Graham, you forgot: dour, deep, depressingly despairing, downcast,
disagreeably dire, dingy, dull and dare I say it damn well disappointing
depending on ones discourse. Okay, drivel diatribe over, any one fancy a
doughnut? Hmmm delicious.
