Default Anyone want to buy a garden blower/vacuum £30.00

O.W.O In fact only one day old: Reason for sale a guilt complex provided by
Will Hand-the *******- who forced me to come to terms with the energy
wastage.
Will deliver to any part of the country in a bid to keep my carbon footprint
within Kyoto limits.

If you flog it someone else will use it so that the total
energy use will be the same. Transport will add further to CO2
emissions. Therefore, to salve your conscience, save the planet, and
enjoy a bit of a wahoo, take an axe to it.

I was watching a council worker use one of these in the park the other
day. As he was blowing all the leaves over to one corner a fresh load
fell and replaced the ones that has been blown. And the blown ones
were being blown to another part of the park. What a complete waste of
time and public money! Not to mention the stupid idea of using such a
contraption in the first place, the damage to the environment caused
by the combustion engine etc.
If you ask me such items are up there with patio heaters....

You probably also find said council crowing about all the environmental targets
they have met and yet still urge residents to change their light bulbs :-(

Don't get me started on patio heaters :-)

What's wrong with putting on a coat or fleece?
Good grief man, this is Britain after all, we should shiver, grin and bear it,
mind you as I find 15C warm then I tend not to need them anyway.
Current inside temperature a very pleasant and comfortable 15.6C :-)

Scottt. You are absolutely IMO correct about Patio Heaters and
blowers: In mitigation I have been ill.
You know although I may seem to tale an anti GW stance I'm also driven
by awarness of sheer blind waste. The majority of people do mot give
one hoot how the thing they take so much for granted got there. We
live in an indredibly affluent country, where when we turn that tap on
we expect not only water but drinking water (potable I believe).

Also, there's no logical as to when they mow the grass verges -
sometimes they will come along and mow dust, at other times elephants
could hide in the grass before they finally cut it...
