Ron,
According to the Met Office site they had 43.8mm by 2100GMT last night, so I think my decoding is correct. 25mm in 12 hours to 18Z. At midnight they reported 40mm in 6hours and another 1mm fell in the next 6 hours. Roger Roger Ron Button wrote: Roger , did Brize Norton really get 65 mm ?? ! Roger Hello Roger, Thanks for adding the 24 hour rainfall totals for the 6z synop, however, I notice that it shows the 999.7 when the amount should be reported as a Trace. Over here in Kempston (nr Bedford) I recorded 53.6mm for the period. As
at 8pm last night I had recorded 25.6mm and then by 10pm 38.6mm. The intensity of the rain was very heavy from 8pm onwards, alas I don't have anything linked to the computer from the Davis, maybe an Xmas present ![]() Chris Kempston, Bedford |

Thanks, Keith - I thought that might
have been the meaning of 999.7. I'll correct it.
