What else can those who are denying that global warming is being caused

by
man say except that it's caused by something else?

Maybe some of us believe that the planetary ecosystem is a bit more
complex than to place 100% of the blame on man. A bit arrogant for us
humans.
To be sure - from an ecological point of view human use of fuels has not
been good for mother earth. HOWEVER - you'll find that the burning of

dirty
coal, woods, and fuel oils in much of the world is vastly more polluting
that ALL of the SUV's in the world times a million. China's contribution

to
"greenhouse gases" is easily a hundred thousand time that of the U.S. Same
for India. Even Brazil puts lots more into the ecosystem than the US does.
Burning rain forests puts a LOT of crap into the air. Volcanoes do too.

What
does that mean? It does NOT mean that we shouldn't try to cut down. We
should. But giving China and India a free pass is STUPID!

For your information the US produces approximately 25% of the world's
greenhouse gasses. We only account for 5% of the world's population. That
means we are the world's largest polluter as a whole and per capita. That is
a fact and is not in dispute. That is going to change and pretty soon China
is going to pass us in this dubious category. The point is though it's time
for whoever is polluting the planet to stop doing it. We can't make anyone
else do that but we can stop doing it ourselves. If we do it will set the
example for those who have followed in our polluting footsteps. If other
nations followed our example of production with heavy pollution then they
will do the same when we change to clean production and a philosophy of not
harming the environment. We have to lead the way. The only thing stopping us
is our corporations who are against making the changes needed. The
government has to take the lead in this and get us going in the right
direction. That means we have to get rid of the republicans because as we
have seen over the last seven years they do everything wrong. They proved
that government can't do anything well or right. But they also proved that
this is true only when they are in charge of the government. When competent
people are in charge truly amazing things can be accomplished.

Such touching faith in politicians, it brings a tear to my eye!
But Mr Hawke is right.
