0855Z/Thursday 25th October 2007
.... a dry, if cloudy night. Drizzle, very light, began ~08Z, but in
the past 15/20 minutes has become more noticeable, helping to bring
the visibility down. A distinct chill in the air, despite the OAT of
9degC.

.... now (1245Z) a thoroughly miserable day, with occasional rain mixed
with the near-persistent drizzle. All surfaces thoroughly damp. One of
those days when the radar isn't capturing the dreary nature of
conditions.

..... 0900Z/26th October: quite a damp 24 hours eventually, with
further (mainly light) rain yesterday late afternoon, and for a short
time late in the night. Anyone looking at the classical surface
analysis wouldn't get the full picture. The total rainfall for the
rain-day 25th October was 0.7 mm.

Sc currently thick, but showing signs of thinning, and with some very
small gaps to show mainly blue sky above.

Martin.
