Check this out: http://www.livenews.com.au/Multimedi...lished&so=DESC Amazing .. given cyclones don't happen much in Australia!! ---------------------- I thought they were quite common on the N.E coast of Queensland. Guides are quite keen to point at the damage on the beaches caused by them. This does seem unusual for so far south though. I've seen a bad hailstorm in December (summer) in Sydney with pea size hail covering lawns when the temp 20 minutes before was 27C ! Dave |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but surely that is not a cyclone?
Cyclones are akin to hurricanes and are large scale phenomena. That video seems to show a tornado. Agreed the tornado might be a small scale feature within a cyclone but the video does not - as I understand things - actually show a cyclone. Jack |

It's a thunderstorm with hail and a tornado. Nothing to do with a cyclone. Norman -- Norman Lynagh Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire 85m a.s.l. (remove "thisbit" twice to e-mail) |

The duration of the clip is given as 48 minutes! Typical level of exaggeration for the media I suppose. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK. E-mail: newsman, not newsboy. "What use is happiness?
