Default Temperature Inversion in Devon

There was temperature inversion this morning in South Devon.

I had to travel to Exeter, and when I left home @7:30 on the banks of
the Teign Estuary (30m ASL) the temp was +2.2c, but travelling across
Haldon which is 200m ASL the temp was +6.0c, but as I descended into
Exeter the temp dropped to just +0.5c @ 8:00.
