Although skies had clouded over by dawn this morning, lifting
temperatures somewhat, we did have a severe ground frost last night, with the grass minimum temperature falling back to -9.8°C; this was the lowest such reading in Coventry during November since 1978 (-10.5°C). Remarkably, only five November nights have recorded a lower grass minimum temperature than this sine 1892, with the lowest being in 1901 (-12.8°C).
