Remarkable consistency now with regards to the breakdown that Will
mentioned on Friday evening. 00z runs all show similar stories with the
current cut off low to the SW deepening in response to amplification of
the ridge over Iceland. This amalgamates with the low over Scandanavia
to give us unsettled conditions from Thursday through to Sunday, winds
from a N/NE direction.

A signal from GFS for an upper trough to swing SE from Newfoundland
has been persistent in the last three runs from Sunday onwards.

It looks wet, with the potential for flooding, strong winds etc. MetO's
T+132 has sub 546dm air flooding S, with the N Sea at 16-19C and
the sea to the SW at 17-19C..............

I have seen this on some other forecasts also. It must be accurate. It
could knock on the head any chance of a new record CET high. Some people may
welcome the rain though.
