It's been encoded according to RFC2047 (presumably because of the
degree symbol). Perhaps the font you are using does not display the
degree symbol correctly?


Possibly - I use Alt-0176 to produce the ° symbol.

No. It looks normal to me in Outlook Express.

I post through Google Groups. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I see your posts fine in the Dialog newsreader, but I've checked back and
see there was a change in one of the headers from

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

to

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1256

on the 15th November
