yesterday a earthquake striked on the Reykjanes pensiula,50 kilometers
from Reykjavik. it was later estimated to be 5 points on the Richter scale. no great damage was noticed, but it scared a lot of people, like me who woke up 2 a clock in the night, and the house shaking like a leaf. the area is still quite active, many small tremors since then and some warning of another coming up,on even larger scale. The Atlantic ridge splits the Island in two halfs,Europe youngest country is still in creation. Reykjavik now,17°C.warmest summer for 140 years. Thor. |
